Hillarys Boat Harbour to host the 2010 Australasian Safari official start

Motorsport enthusiasts will have the chance to see the world’s best extreme off-road competitors before they take off for their gruelling 3600km journey through Western Australia for the 2010 Australasian Safari. The official start of the event takes off from Hillarys Boat Harbour on 17 September, finishing eight days later on 25 September in Esperance on the southern coast.

V8 Supercar Champion Craig Lowndes to Compete in the Australasian Safari with PWR/Holden Rally Team

Holden V8 Supercar star Craig Lowndes is heading off road to compete in the upcoming 2010 Australasian Safari. Lowndes, a three-time V8 Supercar Champion and four-time Bathurst 1000 winner, will drive a specially-modified V8 Holden Colorado 4WD for the PWR Performance Products/Holden Rally Team in this year’s event.

2010 Australasian Safari Dates Confirmed

Octagon is pleased to confirm the dates for the 2010 Australasian Safari.

Commencing in Perth with the Ceremonial Start on the evening of Friday the 17th September 2010. New for 2010 will be Leg Zero “0” on Saturday the 18th of September. This will enable the event to move to regional areas and along the way complete the prologue.

Agreement ensures Safari will continue to drive international promotion of WA
